It’s already June and Impacting Tomorrow has not stopped to catch their breath. Since January, they have participated in seven service opportunities in the community. By the end of the year, they will have invested $114,056.38 into the community through various donations.

Impacting Tomorrow is the service arm of TaleMed. It was created out of the desire to provide an instrument for making a difference in the lives of those around us and having a positive impact on the world, both locally and globally.

Here is a recap on their two biggest events of the year – Night to Shine and Crossroads Go Local.

Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs ages 14 and up. On February 9, 2018, 537 churches around the world united to host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 guests. To pull this night off, it took 175,000 dedicated volunteers.

Christ Church of Mason hosted Night to Shine this year at their location. Impacting Tomorrow volunteered with 20 members from TaleMed. In addition, each employee paired up with a guest to dance the night away together. At the end of the night, all the guests were crowned king and queen of the night.

Wes Brown, project manager at TaleMed and a volunteer at this event, said he loved seeing the happiness it brought to the guests.

“Seeing how happy all of the kids were,” Brown said. “It was unreal. It was a night that they look forward to the whole year.”

Crossroads Go Local

Crossroads Go Local is called a “volunteer revolution.” Members in the community join teams and spread out all throughout Cincinnati to get their hands dirty cleaning up trash, planting gardens and fixing up local buildings.

On Saturday, May 12, a group of TaleMed employees dedicated their afternoon to fixing up a local YMCA. They focused on landscaping and painting an internal hallway.
